Swine, Wine & Dine event raises
$3,000 for Shriners Hospitals
Wabash Valley Harley-Davidson Event

Wabash Valley Harley-Davidson is one of the largest Harley dealers in the two-state area and boasts a growing customer base. As a part of Harley-Davidson USA, it works to be a responsible member of the community and to partner to benefit local charitable organizations when possible. In 2007, WVHD owners Clarence and Marie Crow were looking to host a unique fundraising event for the benefit of Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Crows looked to MillerWhite Marketing to assist with planning and putting on the event.

MillerWhite created the event's concept and theme, Swine, Wine & Dine, which combined a hog roast with wine tasting, music and a silent auction. The firm coordinated the event with the caterers, band and rental company and assisted in collecting items for the silent auction. It also created the direct mail invitation, television and radio commercials, posters and fliers to promote the event.

The silent auction was supported with donations from more than 20 businesses and individuals. The event raised $3,600 for the Shriners and was well-received by Harley riders as well as the community at large.
