MillerWhite copywriter recognized by local environmental group

MillerWhite, LLC congratulates its copywriter,
Cathy Hendricks, on being named by TREES Inc. as winner of the
2005 Mighty Oak Award. Cathy is a charter member and secretary
of TREES, Terre Haute’s volunteer community environmental
and beautification group.
The Mighty Oak Award was instituted
in 1996 to honor an outstanding community citizen who has “supported
and fostered the goals of TREES Inc. by exceptional performance
in the beautification
of home and community by the planting of trees, educating the
community about the importance of planting and maintaining trees,
and/or stimulating community participation and civic pride.”
In
making the presentation during Terre Haute’s annual Arbor
Day ceremony on April 29, former TREES president John Woelfle
said Cathy had expanded and enriched the group’s accomplishments
by “generously sharing her professional guidance, organizational
skills and good judgment” to assist TREES Inc. for 16
years in areas such as identity development, public relations,
tree
planting, recruiting new members and record keeping.
For MillerWhite, Cathy handles and oversees copy creation,
writing, editing and proofreading for public relations, advertising
and
interactive media projects.

It seems as long as I have worked with Cathy she has been involved
with TREES Inc.,” said MillerWhite partner Bill White. “This
award reflects the sincerity of her commitment. MillerWhite is
proud to support Cathy’s efforts.”

There are so many people in Terre Haute who have done much
more toward improving the environment of our community,” Cathy
commented. “However, I sincerely appreciate this recognition
from TREES because it is an amazing group of energetic and
persistent volunteers who have visibly improved the beauty,
livability and
environment of our city. The true reward has been working
with these board members and being a part of this group
to benefit
Terre Haute.”
In addition to her work with TREES Inc.,
Cathy serves on the board of the Newcomers Club of Terre
Haute and is a
member
of Class
IX of Leadership Terre Haute. She was named 1999 Newcomer
of the Year by the Newcomers Club of Terre Haute.
