MillerWhite-designed brand identity for Terre Haute chosen for “American Corporate Identity” book
May 23, 2005

The “Terre Haute: A Level Above” logo and branding identity have been chosen to appear in “American Corporate Identity #21.”

Steve Witt, President of the Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation, and Brian Miller, member of Terre Haute Tomorrow and a partner in MillerWhite, LLC, the firm that created the identity, presented the award certificate to the Terre Haute City Council on Thursday, May 12.

American Corporate Identity recognized the “Terre Haute: A Level Above” logo for the City of Terre Haute, the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and the Terre Haute Economic Development Corporation's complete identity programs.

The branding identity was created for those Terre Haute entities specifically involved in economic development efforts as part of an integrated branding initiative developed through the cooperative efforts of Terre Haute Tomorrow.

“The new identity program is by far the best effort of its kind to date to craft a common brand of excellence for our community. The creation of the ‘Terre Haute: A Level Above’ branding identity is a unique and succinct message that has already been used in a myriad of ways to promote all of the good things we have to offer in the greater Terre Haute, Indiana area,” Witt said.

Graphic design colleges and professionals use the American Corporate Identity publication as a reference book of outstanding identity and branding solutions. The winning entries were chosen from among more than 2,500 entries submitted by firms across the country and will appear in the book to be published later this year.
