MillerWhite, LLC has been recognized at the highest level with a Communicator Crystal Award of Excellence for the dramatic public service announcement, “Busted,” created for the Vigo County Drug Task Force’s anti-meth campaign. The “Busted” spot also received an Award of Distinction for creativity/videography.

The “Use METH Lose It All” campaign, which included two television PSAs and two billboards, was designed to reach people before they were tempted to try the drug. MillerWhite, working with a coalition from the Vigo County Drug Task Force, the Terre Haute Police Department, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department and the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office, created the campaign, which is funded with a grant from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.

The Communicator is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. There were 2,937 entries from 48 states, the District of Columbia and seven other countries in the 2004 Video Competition.

The prestigious Award of Excellence is presented to those entrants whose ability to communicate elevates them among the best in the field. The Award of Distinction goes to projects that exceed industry standards in production or communication skills.
