MillerWhite leads state with three awards from Public Relations Society of America
November 29, 2006
Indianapolis - MillerWhite,
LLC was a three-time winner at the recent Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA) Hoosier Chapter Pinnacle Awards.
The firm led the state in number of awards and earned Best
of Show honors.
PRSA’s annual competition, open to all
Indiana and Central Illinois public relations professionals,
recognizes outstanding work in the field. Pinnacle Awards
are given for complete strategic programs and for individual
tactical projects demonstrating the highest standards of
excellence.
“This is the first time MillerWhite has
entered the Pinnacle awards,” said MillerWhite partner
Bill White. “We were gratified that our work rated
top honors in the state in public relations.”
The Best of Show winner, which
also won the top award in the Projects/Collateral area, was
a direct mail recruitment campaign for Union Hospital’s Family Medicine
Residency Program. The campaign targeted students at medical
schools in the area with a series of three boxes containing
inexpensive but subject-appropriate giveaways. The message
on the outside of the box led students to open it, revealing
the item and a single call-to-action – to go to the
program’s web site. The campaign resulted in a 70 percent
increase in visits to the site.
In the Programs/Crisis Communications
category, MillerWhite took the award for its work with Indianapolis
financial advisory firm JM Capital. MillerWhite developed
and implemented a strategic marketing plan to help JM Capital
complete and announce a significant merger transaction. The
plan gained more than $17,400 in earned media and increased
brand equity for the merging partners.
MillerWhite, LLC provides integrated
marketing/research, public relations, advertising and interactive
media services to its clients from offices in Indianapolis
and Terre Haute.
